  • Gangrel Dam

Gangrel Dam, also known as Ravishankar Dam, is a popular tourist spot of Dhamtari District. Built across the Mahanadi river, it is located at a distance of 15 km. The reservoir also features a Gangrel Hydel Power Project which generates power for nearby regions. It is also the biggest and the longest dam in the province of Chhattisgarh.

Jabara Village is famous for its unique natural forte for medicinal plants.Jabara is an emerging tourist destination for hiking, trekking, nature trail walk.walk. Jabara is a Village placed near 13 km from Dugali in Nagri Block and 64 km from Dhamtari.

 

 

 

 


  •  Madamsilli/ Murrumsilli Dam/Late Shri Babu Chotelal Shrivastav Dam

 

 

The MadMurrumsilli_damamsilli Dam, also called the Murrum-Silli Dam is an embankment dam on the Sillari river, a tributary of Mahanadi river. The dam was built between 1914 and 1923 and is considered as one of the finest architectural marvels of Chattisgarh. The dam is about 95 km from Raipur, the capital state of Chattisgarh.

 

 

 


  • Shringirishi, Sihawa         

          

 

Sihawa image_shringirishiis one of the chief pilgrimage centres of Chhattisgarh which is located in proximity to Dhamtari.Surrounded by forests and mountains, this small township is located on the embankment of Mahanadi River. Karneshwar Temple, Ganesh Ghat, Ashram of Shringi rishi, Hathi Khot, Danteshwari Cave, Amrit Kund and Mahamai Temple are noteworthy holy sites of Sihawa.
